Bagel-bagel is located in SCBD area, fairgrounds lot 14, adjacent to the photography shop Imagerie. The size of the café itself is not that large, consisting only a few tables and couches alone. On one rainy afternoon, I and hubby (from now on, let’s call him Mr.D) decided to stop by at Bagel-bagel and give it a taste.
A bagel (also spelled beigel) is a bread product, shaped into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked. The texture of a bagel is dense, a bit chewy, and have crisp exterior. Bagel-bagel served many varieties of bagels. In addition to the plain one, they have cheese, onion, poppy-seed, sesame-seed, cranberry, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chip, whole wheat, and everything else combined as one dough.
That afternoon we’ve ordered:
Banana Caramel and cream cheese with Chocolate chip bagel (40k) – slices of banana smothered with caramel sauce and cream cheese wrapped in warm bagels. It tastes nice and delicious, not too sweet. We really like it.
Cheese Bagel with garlic chives cream cheese schmears (21,5k) – fresh cream cheese blended with garlic chunks wrapped in warm bagels. Mr.D sure does like it…well what’s not to like?!
Gourmet Gelato with assorted fruits (40k) – The gelato and the fruits was served with three slices bagel on topped of it. It taste nice but not that special too, just so so.
Thai Ice Tea (19,5k) – The Thai Ice Tea blended very well, excellent. I just kind of dislike the packaging since they put it in a bottle container similar like mineral water bottle. Why don’t they just serve it in a glass?? That’s why I don’t have strong urges to take the picture.
Ice Cappuccino (20k) — The cappuccino taste ok.
Overall, Bagel-bagel is a nice to place hang out and have a great time with your spouse or friends.
